OFFSET PRINT | FILM, DTP/ CTP
The film is transparent, a kind of plastic made in acetate.
A colored or polychromatic image is divided in four basic : cyan, magenta, yellow and black (the system CMYK) generating four films per image, one for each color.
The plate is printed with laser, which is controlled by a computer, such as the laser printers.
This allows the plate to be printed directly from a digital file, without an intermediate film.
This process ensure the increase of the final quality of the printed image, once a time that are excluded one of the intermediary between the digital file and the final print.
